Commissions
Justin Bateman trained in Sculpture at Central St Martins in London. These artwork's belong to a body of work recorded by the worlds media. Very few commissions are possible due to the time consuming nature of the work.
Permanent artworks use natural stone with a unique and extensive process applying three additional adhesives to secure and bond the work. Special treatments preserve the quality of the work, protecting against ambering and discolouration from UV exposure. Only a couple of pieces are made permanent each year, over 90% remains impermanent.
Each piece is double sided. The flat side reveals more detail, the textured (stone side) is more intriguing due to relief.
Exibited in The Thai Pavillion at International Art Expo in Dubai.
There is no limit to the scale of pieces. These works are roughly 80cm x 60cm and 2cm in depth, according to the size of the stones.
