Commissions
'Beatrice Sensai' 2022
Justin Bateman trained in Sculpture at Central St Martins in London. These artwork's belong to a body of work recorded by the worlds media. Very few commissions are possible due to the time consuming nature of the work.
Permanent artworks use natural stone with a unique and extensive process applying three additional eco friendly adhesives to secure and bond the work. Special treatments preserve the quality of the image, protecting against ambering and discolouration from UV exposure. Only a couple of permanent projects take place each year, over 90% remains impermanent.
Exibited in The Thai Pavillion at International Art Expo in Dubai (example of hot pallete).
'La Scapigliata' 2022
The outcome is double sided. The flat side reveals more detail, the textured (stone side) is more intriguing due to relief.
Every piece is completely bespoke according to it's own geological composition, emphasising the characteristics of the subject.
There is no limit to the scale of pieces. The majority of commissions are roughly 100cm x 120cm and 2cm in depth, according to the size of the stones.
Clients range from private collectors to international galleries and art agents. International shipping is possible.
The work has been widely publicised in national and international news including Forbes.
Internationally based with studios in Bali, Indonesia and the mountains of Northern Thailand.
